Hang on for the ride of your life.

If you are in menopause, chances are you have an elderly parent.  I'm staying with Dad awhile.   I'm learning some things about him.  Seems he worries about only 2 things in life.   S and P.  No, not salt and pepper.  Sleeping and pooping.   They are constant topic of conversation.  Oh, and being warm.  More like the hottest day in July for me.  He keeps the thermostat at 74 and I'm in a tee shirt, while he is covered with a blanket, yes sometimes two.  He says he really hates being cold because he was so cold in Korea when he was stationed there, he never wanted to be cold again.  Interesting stories he sure does tell.  Do you have an elderly that only allows your wardrobe to consist of a tee shirt and tells you his stories of long ago?   Please share.

Somedays I feel old, but not when I am with Dad.  Heck, 58 ain't old.  Now 84 is old.  Makes me feel like a Spring Chicken.   Speaking of Spring which arrives in 2 days,  we are having a North Easter here in NH tomorrow and expecting 10-18 inches of snow.  That is getting old for all of us who have just had quite enough of it.
